She told fans that becoming engaged to boyfriend Brandon Blackstock was the 'happiest night of my life' after he popped the question last week.
And Kelly Clarkson couldn't resist showing off her enormous canary yellow diamond ring as she took to the stage at the VH1 Divas on Sunday night.
The 30-year-old American Idol winner beamed with happiness as she took to the stage to perform her single Catch My Breath in an eclectic colourful velvet patchwork style dress.

Actress Ellie Kemper even mentioned the star's huge engagement rock while introducing the singer.
'I'm engaged!!!! I wanted y'all to know!! Happiest night of my life last night!' Clarkson wrote on her Twitter page last week after talent manager Blackstock popped the question.
'I am so lucky and am with the greatest man ever,' she added.
Clarkson joined a slew of female stars on stage at the The Shrine auditorium on Sunday to perform in aid of VH1's Save The Music Foundation which has worked to fund music programmes for the past ten years.

Kelly Rowland, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Jordin Sparks and host Adam Lambert were among the performers, in an evening which paid homage to Whitney Houston and Donna Summer who both died this year.
Clarkson may have covered up for her appearance but most of the other divas plumped for more revealing outfits and dance moves, with Miley Cyrus and Ciara both opting for a crotch grab midway through their performances.

Kelly Rowland changed from her stunning green arrival grown into a clinging cream and black catsuit, arriving on stage in front of a wheel of disco balls in tribute to Donna Summer.
She held onto two male dancers by a leash around their necks before launching into Summer's I Feel Love and Bad Girls before being joined by Keri Hilson who sang She Works Hard For The Money.
In a backstage interview Rowland later said she'd enjoyed singing 'a timeless number' and 'getting to perform with Adam Lambert too.'

Lambert then joined in with Love to Love You Baby and Hot Stuff, while the trio finished with Last Dance.
Earlier Lambert opened the show with Real Housewives star NeNe Leakes in a comedy sketch where the volatile reality star attempted to teach him how to be a proper diva.
He then performed his take on David Bowie hit Let's Dance wearing a sparkling jacket and trademark black 'guyliner.'

He also changed costume numerous times, sporting a red feather and leather jacket, before swapping for a shiny grey jacket, black fingerless gloves and black leather trousers.
Unable to keep off the stage, he later performed a Madonna song, after earlier revealing she is one of his heroes.
'I really look up to her, so it's going to be a real thrill to perform one of her songs,' he told MTV News before the show.

Like Adam, many of the show's acts opted for an edgy, punky look for their stage performances.
Demi Lovato arrived on stage sported a studded leather jacket and tight black trousers to sing Give Your Heart a Break.
She made her entrance sitting on a round glass seat which was lowered to the stage.

And Miley Cyrus looked very much like the female version of Billy Idol with her cropped platinum hairdo and studded leather jacket as she sang a cover version of his hit Rebel Yell.
She wore a silver belt around her bare stomach and grabbed her crotch during her performance after crowd surfing to the stage.
Backstage footage later showed the breathless star getting a hug from her mother Tish after the dramatic number.

The fans were equally thrilled with Ciara's Michael Jackson-inspired entrance as she channelled the late star, arriving on stage to a Billie Jean instrumental.
She showed off her trim figure and toned stomach in leather trousers and a white cropped top.
The 27-year-old wowed with her energetic performance complete with smoke machine and dramatic leap into the crowd, before ending with her single Got Me Good.

Indie rock band Metric paid tribute to Blondie with a rendition of their hit Heart of Glass and was introduced by Kelly Osbourne who looked stunning in a white knee length dress with zebra print shoes.
'When I was a kid, I discovered Blondie's Parallel Lines from my dad's jukebox,' Kelly told the audience before introducing a tribute video clip of the New York band. 'She turned a punk band mainstream. I've truly always wanted to be Debbie Harry.'

She was introduced by X Factor judge L.A. Reid who told the audience to 'remember' the British singer's name as 'she is a star.'
